We know that questions and concerns can arise outside of regular office hours. Our team is here to support you and help you determine the safest next steps for your child’s care.
When to Call vs. When to Go In
Call the on-call provider for:
• Fever over 100.4 in a child younger than 3 months
• Worsening symptoms you’re unsure about
• Symptoms that are concerning but not an emergency

Seek immediate care for:
• Trouble breathing
• Severe pain
• Dehydration
• Head injuries
• Severe allergic reactions
• Any concern you believe is an emergency
Reaching the On-Call Physician
Our care does not stop when the office closes. For urgent medical questions after hours, please call (586) 558-2111 and our on-call provider will be notified.
Urgent Concerns After Hours
For urgent needs that are not life threatening but cannot wait until the next business day, we recommend the following pediatric focused urgent care center:

This center specializes in pediatric care and is better equipped to treat children than general urgent care clinics.
Emergencies
If you believe your child is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
